We focus on locking in the fundamentals and building on your technique, speed and stamina. We’ll hit the bag, pads and maybe even your partner.

This is an intermediate class. Suggested level of previous boxing experience is 1 year.

Back to basics

Whether you are new to boxing or looking to brush up on your basics – this class is for you! Basic punches, footwork, technique and classic conditioning will whip you into shape and build your boxing confidence.

Sucker Punch

Sucker punch is all about the bag + getting that heart rate up, while working on your technique. Bag drills, cardio and punching drills are incorporated into a fast paced, high energy workout.

Saved By the Bell

This cardio packed class will get your hands + heart rate up! We incorporate a mix of bag work with classic conditioning to get you in fighting shape.

Strength + Conditioning

Develop strength, stamina and conditioning like a fighter. This class includes weight training, sprints and resistance training to get you into your peak shape

Q & A

This class has a focus on welcoming Queer & Ally community members into our gym! While Eastside is always an inclusive space, we recognize that a boxing gym might be an intimidating environment at first. This class is a safe space in which to get comfortable sweating it out in a boxing gym. Bag work, pads + conditioning will be incorporated into a high energy workout focused on technique + fitness.

Fight Training

This is a rigorous class for competitive boxers or athletes seeking to train in a competitive fashion. This class includes sparring and as such, all attendees must have a valid medical completed and be registered with Boxing BC.  Athletes interested in attending are required to complete an assessment with our fighter coach.

Youth Program

This class is for youth age 13-19, and is focused on the fundamentals of boxing and conditioning. Basic punches, footwork and technique will be taught in this class, along with a conditioning portion to get you into fighter shape. We provide a safe space for participants to exercise and learn basic boxing skills under the guidance of professional coaches and mentors.

Healthy pre and post workout snacks will be available. If a youth does not have their own boxing equipment, we have equipment available.

Buddy Boxing

This class pairs up youngins (ages 6-12) and youth (ages 13-19) to learn some boxing basics in a fun and supportive environment! This gives our youth the opportunity to act as role models and to connect with younger kids in a fun environment. Basic punches, footwork and technique will be taught in this class. We provide a safe space for participants to exercise and learn basic boxing skills under the guidance of professional coaches and mentors.

Healthy pre and post workout snacks will be available. If a youth or youngin does not have their own boxing equipment, we have equipment available.

FRONTLINE FIGHT CLUB

Frontline Fight Club provides free boxing classes for frontline workers, aimed at bringing together those that are impacted by the effect of the province’s overdose crisis. By working through the stress of their jobs in the boxing gym, frontline workers are able to take better care of themselves and the communities they serve. The mental and emotional benefits of boxing can not be under estimated, in addition, the Frontline Fight Club provides an important sense of community for it’s members.

Moms + Tots

This is a non-contact, all level boxing class, in a judgement free space. Bag work, conditioning + technique are all incorporated into a fast paced, high energy workout.

Childminding for babies/toddlers, as well as food and beverages, will be provided.
